In a difficult time for the UK economy, Resolute are investing in Britain’s manufacturing future, its customers’ future, and bringing the manufacture of high quality DTF ink home!
Resolute Ink Ltd, a subsidiary of Resolute DTG Ltd, a leading supplier of Direct-to-Film (DTF) printers, film and inks, is proud to announce a significant investment in a new ink manufacturing facility. The investment aims to meet the soaring demand for a new addition to one of its most successful brands, Resolute Premium.

MD Colin Marsh, a veteran in inkjet technology, stated, "There comes a time when you have to break away from available supply routes and invest in a new product's future. The demand for Resolute Premium DTF ink is growing at a remarkable rate. With the introduction of our new improved white ink, the decision was made to bring the full manufacture in-house, right here at Resolute HQ in the UK.”
Why Have Resolute Invested Further in Their DTF Ink?
Although most were satisfied with the current product, customer feedback indicated there were two key areas for improvement. After extensive field testing during Q4 2025 they have launched the new and improved Resolute Premium White Ink, followed by a full CMYKRGBO set later in Q3. The new and improved Resolute Premium uses higher-quality components, offering low sediment properties without the opacity suffering. This new formulation is a brighter denser white with better coverage and stretch properties over the original formulation. It has also been designed with Resolute’s Ultra DTF process in mind allowing for more white ink to be jetted without bleed or pooling.
The new low maintenance formulation is also kinder to print heads, reducing wear and tear, thus extending the life span of a print head by up to 30% over the original formulation. Customers involved in the beta testing also reported a 50% reduction in head cleans required through the day, significantly reducing waste ink and lost production time.
Resolute is no stranger to water-based ink innovation. Back in 2019 they were the only UK company to obtain a license to build a new Kodak DTG Ink in the UK. The pre-Brexit agreement with Kodak was designed to remove the red tape brought on by Brexit and was a huge success.
New and Improved DTF Ink Formulation
For Resolute, manufacturing this new and improved ink formulation, is an incredible achievement, separating them from the many DTF ink re-sellers re-labelling imported products. The new state of the art lab, already in production, ensures the highest quality and continuity, as well as allowing for strict quality control. Up to 90% of the manufacturing process, including high quality components are sourced in the UK reducing imports, shipping and helping to lower their carbon footprint.
Colin continues to explain, “Because Resolute’s new formulation is low sediment, it’s easier to manage in any printer, small or large. The new lab is housed next door to our R&D centre, where the initial development of the low sediment testing started.
The DTF process is ploughing through the textile decoration industry at a remarkable pace. Predicting demands and market trends is Resolute’s speciality, and the key to its continued success. The final decision and license deal, of an exclusive formulation, was made at a breakfast meeting during the Printing United Show 2025 in Orlando. When a project like this comes to fruition, it makes all the hard work and investment worth it.”
In Q2 we plan to offer OEM services to UK and EU companies who require high quality DTF ink pre-packed and labelled. OEM enquiries should be directed to colin@resoluteink.co.uk

Adam Moore and Emma Marsh head up the Resolute R&D team, which is conveniently positioned across the car park from the main Resolute HQ. The new facility has the ability to manufacture two tons of the new low sediment white ink per week. The new lab’s capacity is purposely designed to allow for future growth, as more and more screen printers make the jump to full digital transfer production, the increase in demand is set to continue for some years ahead.
This investment underscores Resolute's commitment to innovation and quality, ensuring that they continue to be the No.1 in the UK market for DTF printing solutions and now UK manufactured DTF inks. A second core product is set to be manufactured in the UK in Q3, this is currently under wraps, so watch this space for more exciting news from Resolute in 2026.
