At just 16 years old Colin joined the printing industry and to date has over 40 years experience in all manners of printing. He trained and served as a litho printer before moving onto dark room reprographics, typesetting, image setting, CTP (computer to plate), large format, DTG (direct to garment) and now DTF (direct to film). Colins latest research, with a launch planned early 2022 is DTF-UV (direct to film UV printing).
Colin has hosted numerous trade show seminars across the globe.
When the DTG process evolved, Colin was at the forefront installing the first T-Jet Blazer Pro in the UK for South American based company U.S.Screen. He started the first UK based DTG training school which took off with a bang in 2010. Since then he has been involved in developing digital print processes working closely with large corporates in the EU, US and SEA. Transferring his skills to the new DTF process brings the opportunity to gain advanced knowledge and training for both hardware and software. Process analysis and production workflow are two of the most overlooked points when introducing a new print process.
